Steven Yannucci
B.S., University of Pittsburgh (2022)
2nd Year Ph.D. student
Brief Bio
I grew up in the Pennsylvania/Maryland/Delaware tristate area in the small town of Oxford, Pennsylvania. I graduated from high school in 2018 and continued my education at the University of Pittsburgh where I received my bachelor's degree in Chemistry with a focus on materials. Early in my undergraduate career I worked with a small start-up company called ZeoVation where I learned to synthesize and characterize nano-zeolites and helped develop impactful antimicrobial materials for consumer use. I began research in the Rosi group in 2020 where I worked on multi-component MOF materials and MOFs for applications in proton-conductive membranes. Since graduation I have continued my research as a graduate student here at the University of Pittsburgh studying unique reactivity within MOF scaffolds. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors (especially playing disk golf), spending time with friends and family, and working out.
